“The Founders Bridge Pool & Park” is located just west of Richmond. Founded by the late Larry Griswold, the park was named for the late golf great Larry Griswold. startups by Golf Digest as one the top 18 holes to play in Richmond, this course has reduced playing time half an hour to accommodate local players. The beautiful setting includes two pavilions on the eastern end of the course with grassy areas for beginner and seasoned players alike. There are also boat slips for those who would rather not use the beach.

With an experienced crew of more than three full time professionals, there is a remarkable level of expertise in this location that assures the safety of guests, as well as the avoidance of any potential or inherent risks. From the building of each Tee Off area to the sand bunker and putting greens, no aspect of this wonderful golf course lacks professional attention. In fact, the biggest concern with the golfing community of this area is the apparent lack of concern and upkeep for the property surrounding the famous founders bridge.

According to the Washington Times, the lack of necessary maintenance and care has been causing major concerns among members of the local community. “There’s only so much a builder can do,” said Bob Hagen, a resident of Kingsley flakes, Virginia. “They can’t fix the drainage problems because it’s such a small creek. I’m afraid that we may have to wait a few decades before the water levels are anywhere near what they should be.”

Although most owners expressed that they were unaware of the problem, many of them were extremely disappointed with the lack of care and upkeep on the property surrounding the historic bridge pool. One group of concerned citizens even filed a lawsuit against the Town of Augusta over their perceived lax attitude with the upkeep of the property. Despite the many pleas of local golfers and owners, it seems that the lack of care and upkeep is here to stay.

According to the Town of Augusta, the lack of damage to the lakefront property is not the town’s responsibility. startups claim that all that the homeowner needs to do is not let the weeds and shrubs grow into the water. Additionally, they maintain that the water does not become polluted through rainwater runoff. The only thing that has changed since the lawsuit was filed is that the number of weeds has dramatically increased.

When the Town of Augusta sold the property to the Ramada Resort, they stipulated that the owners would have exclusive rights to the water on the property. Unfortunately, this meant that any changes or alterations had to be approved by the resort before they could go forward. Consequently, startups is solely responsible for maintaining the pristine lake and the surrounding grassy areas. Golfers are not allowed to hike along the lake and the area is off limits to tennis courts and other athletic facilities.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has been involved in many of the legal battles surrounding the construction of the Ramada Resort’s new Lake Macawee Pool. A DNR spokesperson referred all inquiries regarding the construction of the Lake Macawee Pool to the Ramada Resort. Several attempts to reach the Ramada Resort have been met with repeated telephone calls and email messages. The owners of the Augusta property are attempting to block all attempts to contact the resort. The owner’s counsel has advised the golfers not to use the pool and to keep the matter between themselves. The golfers remain in total control of their personal situation.

Augusta residents are urged to contact the DNR to express their concerns over the Lake Macawee Bridge pool project. The owners of the Augusta property have yet to respond to several written DNR questions. Both sides should resume negotiations without further delays.
